/01 What a DESIGN.md is

A DESIGN.md is a complete visual direction written as a single file a coding agent can follow: colour tokens, type scale, spacing, component rules, composition and motion, stated precisely enough that two separate builds from the same file land on the same design. You drop it at the root of a project, point your agent at it, and the file — not the agent's defaults — decides how things look.

/02 Original directions, not brand analyses

Every system in this catalogue is an original aesthetic authored for the catalogue. None of them reverse-engineers an existing brand, and none is a teardown of some well-known company's guidelines. That distinction matters: an analysis inherits someone else's constraints and someone else's ownership; an original direction is yours to ship.

/03 Who makes them

dropdesign.md is written and maintained by Cyn, a developer and designer who got tired of watching good products ship with default-looking interfaces. The data model leaves room for other authors; for now, every file here is hers.
